Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I become a Hicks member?
If you’d like to spread the cost of car maintenance whilst saving money, Hicks membership is the way to go. You’ll benefit from discounted servicing, money off MOTs and free puncture repairs – with total visibility over upcoming payments.
Can I cancel or transfer my membership to another car?
Of course – you can transfer your membership to another car free of charge (although your payments may change). You can also cancel and get your money back at any time, but this will incur a £20 cancellation fee after you’ve made your first payment.
How long will my membership last?
Two years, during which your service costs will remain fixed – so you can rest assured there won’t be any surprise increases. You can renew your membership after this time, but pricing is subject to change at the point of renewal.
Will my manufacturer’s warranty be affected if I use Hicks for servicing?
We only use genuine parts and follow the manufacturer’s service schedules specific to your car’s make, model, age, and mileage – so you know your service will be done exactly as recommended by your manufacturer.
How often should I service my car?
Most modern cars need a major (full) service once a year, but older cars (or those that do higher mileage) may need more frequent servicing. Take a look at our service page for more on this.
